Interior Designers are career professionals who have invested time and resources to achieving a level of education in their field that uniquely equips them. They continue to learn and stay current with new trends, materials, construction techniques and product availability only available to those working in the profession. Their goal with all of this training is to use it creating an individualized project for each client that solves the specific problems associated with the space.

Planning spaces so they function correctly; selecting appropriate furnishings, lighting, window treatments, artwork, accessories, researching and specifying all the materials required for the project are just some of the tasks involved in creating the perfect interior.

Creating a balanced and harmonious interior requires the correct color scheme, as well as the right blend of textures and finishes. All of these properties combined correctly can transform any space and provide it a uniqueness belonging only unto itself and those enjoying it.

We are proud to have achieved the standards of practice required to be members of both DSA, Designer Society of America, and ASID, the American Society of Interior Designers. Each organization requires continuous and increasing levels of knowledge, training and ability of their members. Continuous updating of our education and resources allows us to provide a completed project with spaces that are functional, meet applicable building codes and safety standards and have the design features that our clients envisioned.

We work with all the required consultants to develop a budget and time line for the project completion. As each project is unique in its scope it is important that we keep communication lines open within the project team so that everyone involved understands our particular needs so the project is done correctly. Regular meetings, either virtually or in person and constant communication with our clients ensure that they are kept up to date with the status of their project.

By combining artistry, design expertise and project management we offer a complete service package for your project. Accessing current trends and techniques as well as a vast wealth of resources also allow us to turn any initial dream or concept into a real, physical, beautiful space.

As we mentioned previously each project is unique. We take as much time as is required beginning with our first discussions to determine the overall scope of the project. Determining the scope of services required from us and the other team members is essential in creating an overall timeline for completion of the project. The timeline will vary based on size and complexity of the project. Some projects are simple color consultations that take maybe a couple of hours to accomplish, where others may be a new construction project that will take a year or more to complete.

There are a number of additional factors that affect the project timelines that are all taken into account when we set up a project schedule. Depending upon the project, some examples may be, scheduling meetings with the client, the availability of materials for interior construction, ordering time for fabrics, furniture, lighting, window coverings, rugs, accessories, etc. As mentioned above, we provide a project timeline and budget to the client after the scope of services has been determined and agreed upon by all parties involved.

We all understand as professionals that “time is money” and this is particularly true in the construction world. Mistakes or changes can result in “change orders” to a construction contract that add to the overall building cost.
